China's squads claimed gold and silver medals in the mixed team aerials final at the Chongli stop of the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup at the Secret Garden Snow Park in Zhangjiakou on Sunday.

The event marked the second aerials competition of this season's Freestyle Ski World Cup circuit, with 10 teams from seven countries and regions competing.

China fielded two squads in the mixed team aerials. Team 1 consisted of Xu Mengtao, Qi Guangpu and Li Tianma, while Team 2 featured Chen Meiting, Wang Xindi and Sun Jiaxu. Both Chinese squads advanced to the last round after finishing in the top two positions in the opening round, along with teams from Australia and the USA.

Weather conditions remained challenging, with high wind speeds affecting competition.

The contest was decided in the final moments, when 2022 Winter Olympics champion Qi Guangpu successfully landed a solid jump to help China Team 1 overtake its compatriots and seal the gold with a total score of 315.35 points. China Team 2 earned silver with 308.49 points, while the USA rounded out the podium bronze.
