A Chinese citizen was wounded on Monday morning when the Thai military forces fired artillery shells at residential areas in Cambodia's Battambang province, according to  a Cambodian Ministry of Interior's press release.

"This incident resulted in one civilian house being completely destroyed and one Chinese national being injured," the press release said.

The Cambodia-Thailand border conflict has reignited since December 7 and both sides have accused the other of initiating the attack.
