China's Ministry of Commerce on Tuesday urged the United States to stop its erroneous actions concerning the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's decision to add foreign-made drones and key parts to the "Covered List."
A ministry spokesperson said that China firmly opposes this move and urges the U.S. side to immediately revoke the relevant measures.
In recent years, the U.S. has disregarded normal business and trade exchanges between Chinese and American companies, and ignored the strong appeals from industries in both countries, repeatedly overgeneralizing the concept of national security and using state power to suppress companies from other countries, including Chinese companies, said the spokesperson.
"This is a typical act of market distortion and unilateral bullying," the spokesperson said.
China will resolutely take necessary measures to firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises if the U.S. continues to act unilaterally, the spokesperson added.
