The construction of the main structure of the first phase of the Bailong nuclear power plant has started. The nuclear power plant is designed to house six 1 million-kilowatt units with a total installed capacity of 8.62 million kilowatts. After completion of two units in the first phase of the project, it will generate around 20 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, boosting Guangxi's power supply capacity and reducing its reliance on fossil fuels.
