China's Hainan Province opened its first Europe route under the seventh-freedom traffic right, a milestone for the free trade port.
Seventh-freedom rights allow foreign airlines to operate routes between two countries without flying to their home country. The route between Sanya in China's Hainan and Prague in the Czech Republic, operated by Kazakhstan's SCAT Airlines, is the free trade port's first under the seventh-freedom traffic right. The route began service on December 21.
