World-renowned violinist Lu Siqing has announced a six-country European tour with the MAJOR Ensemble, set to take place from February 1 to 11, 2026. The announcement was made in Beijing on Friday. Titled “The New Four Seasons,” the tour will feature the European premiere of "The Four Seasons of China"—a new piece commissioned from Chinese composer Wen Ziyang—paired with Hungarian composer Stefan Peter's piano "Sonata of the Four Seasons," performed by pianist Kovács Gergely.
The concerts will stop in Budapest, Sofia, Turin, Salzburg, Munich, and Barcelona, bringing audiences a fresh, cross-cultural musical conversation that connects East and West through the timeless theme of the seasons. Our reporter Yang Yan sat down with Lu Siqing for an exclusive interview.
