China firmly opposes U.S. tariff measures and what it describes as the suppression of Chinese industries, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said at a press briefing on Wednesday. Lin warned that such moves disrupt global supply chains and harm all parties involved, urging Washington to resolve differences through dialogue based on equality and mutual respect. China will take necessary measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests if the U.S. persists, he added.
