Pets are exploring underwater in specially designed diving capsules in Nanning, capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

A parrot named Jiujiu, a French bulldog and a duck descended in transparent, oxygen-supplied cabins while their owners swam alongside.

The pets stay dry at normal pressure throughout the dive.

"Going diving with it feels like exploring a new space together," said Baobao, whose diving parrot went viral.

Inventor Chris has safely taken over 60 animals – from dogs to rabbits – underwater since 2020, following human scuba safety standards.

Organizers say the project could transform the pet industry, with plans to take pets into open water.
