Libya's chief of general staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed al-Haddad, was killed along with four others when their Falcon 50 business jet crashed near Haymana in Türkiye's capital of Ankara shortly after taking off Tuesday, Turkish and Libyan officials said. Turkish authorities said the aircraft issued an emergency landing notification before contact was lost, and prosecutors have opened an investigation. At the same time, Tripoli confirmed Haddad's death following talks in Ankara with his Turkish counterpart.
