Recently, a new winter experience, known as ice floating, has drawn visitors to an unfrozen stretch of a river in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The activity allows participants to drift on the river's surface while wearing professional cold-protection suits, even as temperatures plunge to minus 40 degrees Celsius.

Ice floating has only reached China in recent years and remains a niche winter attraction. But it is quickly drawing the attention of adventure seekers looking for experiences beyond conventional snow activities.
