The Shenyang Palace Museum has been blanketed in snow this week, attracting a large number of tourists and photography enthusiasts eager to capture the snow-covered ancient Chinese buildings.

Built in 1625, the palace museum is one of the two well-preserved ancient palace complexes, the other being the Forbidden City in Beijing. It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2004.

The Museum houses over 100,000 pieces of cultural relics and is one of the must-see tourist attractions in the city. It had welcomed more than 5.22 million visitors as of October 31 this year, according to the museum.
