Chinese police, together with law enforcement agencies from Myanmar and Thailand, have launched a new joint operation targeting telecom fraud networks in the Myawaddy region.
952 Chinese nationals suspected of involvement in telecom and online fraud were escorted back to China. Criminal groups operating in scam compounds had long targeted Chinese citizens, causing serious financial losses and social harm. Under trilateral cooperation, major scam hubs, including KK Park and Shwe Kokko, have been forcibly dismantled, with hundreds of fraud-related buildings demolished.
