China's 2025–2026 ice and snow season has opened on a high note. In the first month alone, ski resorts nationwide received about 35 million visits, up 10 percent year-on-year, according to the General Administration of Sport of China. International arrivals stood out, with around 190,000 overseas visitors — up 66 percent from last year — highlighting the boost from expanded visa-free entry and the growing global appeal of China's winter sports tourism.
