Chinese scientists have just smashed a new world record with a test vehicle on a 400-meter superconducting magnet track. Accelerating from zero to 700 km/h in only 2 seconds, that's faster than you can take a deep breath. The vehicle was levitated, sped along with almost no friction, then came to a safe stop, smooth like a bullet.
