Olympic gold medalist Su Yiming of China saw his "back-to-back 1980" snowboarding move officially certified by Guinness World Records on Thursday.

"The most 1980-degree spins completed in a single coherent run in snowboarding," the organization announced on Sina Weibo.

The trick features two consecutive 1,980-degree rotations, each with 5½ spins, on a single run. Su completed the maneuver during a training session at the Stamping Grounds Project in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, on October 7.

Su's certification marks his second Guinness World Record. He was previously recognized as the first person to complete a backslide 1980 Indy Crail in snowboarding, after landing the maneuver at Prime Park Sessions in Stubai, Austria, on October 28, 2021.

The 21-year-old opened the season by clinching back-to-back World Cup victories at the Genting Resort Secret Garden in Zhangjiakou, north China's Hebei Province, and the Shougang Big Air Jump in Beijing.

Su already looks to be in prime form, in the wake of those twin triumphs, as he builds toward defending his title at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
