A winter storm warning was issued for upstate New York as a powerful system moved into the Tri-State area on December 26. The storm impacted post-Christmas travel, leading to the cancellation of more than 1,500 flights across Philadelphia International and New York City's three major airports - JFK, Newark and LaGuardia. In response to the conditions, a state of emergency has been declared in both New York and New Jersey.
