The Pentagon released video footage showing a missile launch as President Donald Trump said U.S. forces carried out "powerful and deadly" strikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in northwestern Nigeria on Christmas Day. The Nigerian foreign ministry early Friday confirmed the air strikes, describing them as "precision hits on terrorist targets" in the country.
