The annual Shanghai-Taipei City Forum opened on Sunday in Shanghai, aiming to promote cooperation and exchanges in urban development. This year's event has drawn hundreds of participants from both cities.

Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an heads a 120-strong delegation. Chiang was met by his Shanghai counterpart Gong Zheng ahead of the forum on Sunday morning. This year, the forum features discussions and experience-sharing in healthcare, transportation and other technology-driven sectors, according to the Shanghai municipal government.
