CMG unveils 4 sub-venues for 2026 Spring Festival Gala

China Media Group (CMG) on Sunday unveiled the four sub-venues for the 2026 Spring Festival Gala. They are, Harbin City in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Yiwu City in east China's Zhejiang Province, Hefei City in east China's Anhui Province, and Yibin City in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

In recent years, the CMG Spring Festival Gala sub-venues have become an important window to showcase the images, cultural features and local customs of various cities, boosting tourism in these destinations.

Harbin blends its iconic ice and snow landscapes with advanced technology, embodying the rich folk customs of northern China and a strong international appeal.

As a major international trade hub in China, Yiwu is a key intersection of the modern Silk Road's land and sea routes. It is also a renowned small commodity production base and a rising global trade center.

A leader in China's science and technology sector, Hefei is also deeply rooted in the profound cultural heritage of ancient Luzhou. It integrates opera performances into public cultural programs, emerging as a livable city that preserves traditional charm and offers a comfortable life for its residents.

Yibin holds many prestigious titles, including the First City on the Yangtze River, City of Liquor, China's Bamboo Capital and Capital of Power Batteries. It is a dynamic city where time-honored traditions and modern vitality coexist harmoniously.

At the launch event, the four sub-venues treated the audience to splendid singing and dancing performances, each showcasing their unique cultural allure and urban elegance.
