The Yebatan Hydropower Station, China's highest-altitude hyperbolic arch dam project and a key project under the country's 14th Five-Year Plan, officially began generating electricity on Saturday as its first two power generation units came online.

This milestone marks significant progress in developing an integrated "hydro-solar-wind" energy base along the upper reaches of the Jinsha River.

After nearly a decade of construction, the station has delivered its first kilowatt-hour of green electricity.
