A magnitude-6.6 earthquake struck the eastern waters off China's Taiwan region on Saturday, with a focal depth of 60 kilometers. Strong shaking was felt in Taipei for nearly one minute.
No major damage or casualties have been reported so far. Tremors were also strongly felt in parts of the Chinese mainland.
