The world's first 6-tonne-class tiltrotor aircraft has successfully completed its maiden flight in Deyang City, southwest China's Sichuan Province. Tiltrotor aircraft can lift off and land like a helicopter but is also capable of flying fast like an airplane. The Lan Ying R6000 was independently developed by a Chinese company. This marks a significant milestone for China in tiltrotor technology.
