Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to visit the United States for talks with U.S. President Donald Trump on a proposed "peace plan" on December 28 local time.
A day earlier, Zelenskyy stopped in Canada, where he met with Prime Minister Mark Carney and held phone calls with European leaders. He said European allies remain firmly supportive of Ukraine. According to Zelenskyy, security guarantees will be a central issue in the upcoming talks with the United States.
