On Monday, the China Coast Guard (CCG) released an illustrative map of its law enforcement patrol conducted around China's Taiwan Island.

According to the CCG, the fleet was organized by the Fujian Coast Guard, and the operation included drills in joint fishery protection, verification and identification, and interception and detention, aimed at testing capabilities in effective control and efficient law enforcement.

The released map features a route shaped like a red cord. The CCG said the design symbolizes the blood ties linking compatriots across the Taiwan Strait and also serves as a "red line" warning against "Taiwan independence" separatist forces.

The map also uses Chinese knot symbols to mark key points along the patrol, highlighting the shared cultural roots and heritage across the Strait. The knot in the east of the island of Taiwan symbolizes inseparability, reflecting that the two sides of the Strait are indivisible.

Meanwhile, the knots shown in the island's northern and southwestern areas represent order and structure, signaling that coast guard law enforcement actions will punish "Taiwan independence" separatist activities under the law, firmly oppose external interference, and resolutely safeguard peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
