China's top trade promotion body says foreign trade remains resilient, even as global trade frictions remain elevated but are showing signs of easing.

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) says it organized a delegation of 25 Chinese companies from key industries to the United States this month and held more than 20 matchmaking events with over 170 U.S. companies and institutions, including Apple, HP and Micron.

Both sides agreed to advance the consensus reached by the two heads of state at their Busan meeting and, on November 24, during a phone call, to position economic and trade ties as a stabilizing force in China-U.S. relations.

CCPIT's Global Trade Friction Index for October stood at 104, remaining high. However, the total value of global trade friction measures fell 7.3 percent year over year and 1.2 percent month over month, indicating partial easing.

Trade frictions involving China also remained elevated, with an index of 102, though related measures fell 33.2 percent from a year earlier.

Official data show that China's foreign trade remains resilient. In November, China's trade promotion system issued 791,600 commercial certificates, up 21.6 percent year over year, signaling steady cross-border activity.
