Shandong Weiqiao swept past Huangshi Huaxin 3-0 in a rematch of last year's championship contest at the Chinese Table Tennis Super League Finals, successfully defending the men's title in Nanjing on Sunday.

Shandong sent out World No. 1 Wang Chuqin, seventh-ranked Liang Jingkun and World No. 13 Lin Yun-Ju. On the other side, with second-ranked Lin Shidong absent due to a shoulder injury, Huangshi's lineup featured Xiang Peng, Xue Fei and young talent Liu Guancheng.

The reigning champions started strong as Liang and Lin dominated Xue and Liu in the opening doubles match 11-1, 11-4, 11-5.

The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics champion Wang then went up against World No. 11 Xiang in the first singles contest. The 25-year-old doubled his team's lead to 2-0 after prevailing 11-7, 7-11, 11-7, 11-8.

Lin and Liu returned to the table to face each other in the second singles match and third contest overall. Lin didn't leave his opponent with many chance and cruised to an 11-2, 11-7, 11-4 victory.

Shandong Weiqiao closed out the final 3-0 to retain the title, lifting the trophy for the second straight season. On the women's side, Shenzhen University beat Shandong Luneng 3-1 to win the title.
