The drills held by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) around China's Taiwan region, codenamed "Justice Mission 2025," continued for a second day into December 30.

The PLA's Eastern Theater Command deployed naval and air forces off the northern and southern coasts of Taiwan Island, jointly conducting drills on verification and identification, warning and expulsion, simulated strikes and assault against maritime targets, as well as anti-air and anti-submarine operations.

At the same time, the ground forces of the Eastern Theater Command conducted long-range live-fire drills in the waters to the north of Taiwan Island, achieving expected results.
