China urged the Netherlands on Wednesday to immediately correct its "mistakes" and remove obstacles to the stability of the global chip production and supply chain.

The spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce noted Dutch Economic Affairs Minister Vincent Karremans's defense of his decision to take control of Nexperia.

The spokesperson responded, "China has repeatedly stressed that the Netherlands' improper administrative intervention in Nexperia's internal affairs has already disrupted the global semiconductor supply chain, for which the Dutch must bear full responsibility."

The Ministry said, "The Netherlands remains indifferent and stubbornly insists on its own way, showing absolutely no responsible attitude toward the security of the global semiconductor supply chain and taking no substantive actions."

In September, the Netherlands took control of Nexperia, a Dutch subsidiary of the Chinese firm Wingtech, saying it aimed to prevent the founder from moving company secrets and production to China.
