On December 28, the Guxian Water Conservancy Hub on China's Yellow River achieved a major milestone with the completion of its two diversion tunnels. These temporary channels redirect the river during construction, ensuring safer, more efficient progress for the next phases. Experts call Guxian a major new backbone water hub on the Yellow River's main stream. Its construction began in 2024 and is expected to finish around 2033.
