India and Pakistan on Thursday exchanged their respective lists of nuclear installations and facilities through diplomatic channels under an annual arrangement stipulated in a bilateral pact.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that the exchange was conducted simultaneously in New Delhi and Islamabad.

Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi confirmed the exchange, noting that it was carried out in accordance with the agreement.

The latest exchange took place despite a brief military flare-up between India and Pakistan in 2025, which strained bilateral ties.

The pact, which prohibits the neighboring countries from attacking each other's nuclear facilities, was signed in December 1988 and entered into force on January 27, 1991.
