January 2 saw the first snowfall of 2026 blanket Mount Fanjing, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in southwest China's Guizhou Province. With snow veiling the mountain slopes, clouds gathered around the peaks, creating a stunning scene. The iconic Wuling Mountains landmark was thus transformed into a vivid winter fairyland.

The snow cover was concentrated mainly at an altitude of around 2,200 meters, forming the unique spectacle of a half-snow-capped mountain. Rugged rock formations stood in striking contrast to the vast silver expanse stretching across distant hillsides. What made the scene even more breathtaking was that, alongside the snowfall, cascading cloud waterfalls flowed between the mountain ridges. White snow and flowing clouds intertwined seamlessly, immersing visitors in a dreamlike wonderland.
