In response to the U.S. attacks in Venezuela, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, founder and president of the Schiller Institute, told CMG that Venezuela is a sovereign state and that Nicolas Maduro is the president elected by the Venezuelan people. She said Washington's use of force to impose control and forcibly remove him from the country blatantly violates international law, risks throwing the entire Latin American region into turmoil, and will leave the U.S. unable to make a clean exit from the fallout.
