Defending champions the Guangsha Lions edged the Beijing Ducks 77–74 at home in a low-scoring Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) game, extending their winning streak to eight consecutive victories.

Guangsha took an early 11–10 lead after Hu Jinqiu converted a jumper.

The hosts then moved ahead 13–10 when Sun Minghui's jumper dropped after a couple of friendly bounces.

Hu later drove to the basket but missed, before Jakarr Sampson followed up with a powerful dunk to put the champions 10 points ahead.

Lei Meng knocked down a three-pointer to help Beijing reduced the deficit to six.

With one minute remaining in the second quarter, Eugene German hit a long-range shot to cut Beijing's deficit to 47–46.

Guangsha pulled away again in the third quarter as Tarik Black scored in the paint to restore a 10-point lead.

The Ducks rallied once more, with German tying the score at 74.

With two minutes left on the clock, Sun gave Guangsha a two-point lead, and the hosts held on to secure a 77–74 victory. The win lifted Guangsha to first place in the standings, while Beijing slipped to fifth.
