Temir Porras, former deputy minister of foreign affairs of Venezuela, told CGTN Europe that the US military action against Venezuela constitutes "a blatant violation of international law." Porras, now managing director at Global Sovereign Advisory, said Washington had been preparing the ground for military intervention for months, despite no direct armed conflict between the two countries. He warned that the situation could become increasingly dangerous for Venezuela and the wider region.
