Large explosions were heard early on Saturday in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, accompanied by air-raid sirens. At least 40 people, including military personnel and civilians, were killed in the US military strikes on the country, local officials have said. CGTN Stringer interviewed Venezuelan residents in downtown Caracas right after the attacks to gather insight on the current situation and how this has affected their life. Ronald Alfonso said that it was very surprising. He was shocked, but what had to happen happened. "Whatever you want to call it, here we are, moving forward and trying to stock up and always stay positive," he said.
