The first supermoon of 2026 graced the night sky over Tongjiang City in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, luring photography enthusiasts outdoors. Hanging high above the city, the supermoon formed striking scenes alongside Tongjiang's distinctive architecture. With the city lights fully illuminated, the supermoon overhead shone about 30 percent brighter than a standard full moon.
