03:24

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) is preparing to host the 94th Interpol General Assembly in November 2026. It will be China's third time hosting the global policing summit and the first time in Hong Kong. The event underscores Hong Kong's growing role in international security cooperation and global confidence in its governance. CGTN reporter Xu Hua spoke with Hong Kong Police Commissioner Chow Yat-ming about preparations for the assembly. The commissioner also reviewed the city's improved public safety record in 2025 and outlined efforts to strengthen national security awareness among young people.
