The 10th Triennial International Congress of Chinese Mathematicians (ICCM) opened in Shanghai on Saturday, bringing together leading mathematicians from around the world for in-depth academic exchanges. The event underscores China's growing role in global research and mathematical innovation. More than 300 high-level academic presentations are scheduled, with several Fields Medal laureates and academics from China and abroad sharing their latest research. The congress will also present major honors, including the ICCM Mathematics Award, often referred to as the "Chinese Fields Medal," as well as recognition for outstanding contributions to the field.
