Several cutting-edge robots made headlines on the eve of CES 2026 in Las Vegas, highlighting rapid advances in AI-powered automation across industries.

One of the most anticipated reveals was Boston Dynamics' Atlas humanoid. Unveiled publicly for the first time, this fully electric, AI-enhanced robot demonstrated fluid locomotion and will begin deployment in Hyundai manufacturing plants by 2028, supported by Nvidia and Google DeepMind partnerships to boost autonomy and task adaptability.

U.S. startup Zeroth Robotics unveiled two new interactive robots: the W1, a rugged mobile unit with lidar and RGB cameras capable of carrying loads, navigating varied terrain and assisting users, and the M1, a smaller humanoid companion powered by Google's Gemini AI for conversational support and monitoring at home. Both models will open for U.S. preorder in early 2026.

LG Electronics also showcased CLOiD, a home robot positioned as an AI-powered hub for smart living. Designed for domestic use, CLOiD features autonomous navigation, multimodal interaction and deep integration with LG's smart home ecosystem, supporting daily tasks and personalized services.

Meanwhile, Nvidia emphasized its role in the robotics ecosystem at CES, unveiling new physical AI platforms and models that underpin next-generation autonomous machines spanning robotics and vehicles.
