More than a champion: AG esports star Yinuo steps back, yet the journey continues

Chengdu All Gamers (AG) star player Xu Bicheng, known globally by his ID “Yinuo” (also styled “YiNuo”), has announced a temporary step back from professional competition. The star "Honor of Kings" competitor shared the news with his fans, indicating a pause from the esports arena.

Earlier, during the King Pro League (KPL) Grand Finals 2025, CGTN conducted an exclusive interview with Yinuo, who opened up about his career journey, competitive mindset, daily training routines and personal life, alongside his thoughts on being a professional player. The interview highlights the proactive outlook and the sense of social responsibility of esports athletes.

On September 26, 2023, the Asian Games' first ever esports gold medal was awarded as the Chinese team defeated Malaysia 2-0 in the final of the Arena of Valor Asian Games Version. Yinuo's performance was highlighted by pivotal moments in the finals, contributing to the team's success. ‌Since then, he helped his team win the Honor of Kings championship at the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia in 2024 and 2025.

Though the esports arena will miss his sharp plays and leadership for now, this temporary farewell is not the end.  A message from a fan echoes the sentiment shared by many, "Keep competing as long as you can, Yinuo!" Until he regains the full passion for the arena he once dominated, fans will patiently await his return. For Yinuo, the best is yet to come.
