The Chinese mainland has issued fresh warnings over a proposal by some Democratic Progressive Party legislators in the Taiwan region to revise the island's regulations on cross-Strait relations. The spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council said there is zero tolerance for any attempt to change the status quo, emphasizing that there is only one China in the world and that both the mainland and Taiwan belong to it.
