As the Year of the Horse approaches, an oil painting exhibition by local artist Huang Guangliang opened at the Shenyang Museum on January 6, with the horse serving as the central motif of the show.

The show brings together more than 40 works. They present the horse both as a physical subject and as a cultural symbol of vitality and renewal.

The exhibition is organized into three sections, moving from realistic depictions to more expressive and abstract interpretations. This progression allows visitors to see how a single motif can be reimagined through different artistic languages.

Inside the gallery, viewers slow their pace, pausing in front of each canvas to take in the details and shifting moods of the works.

Presented as part of the city's New Year cultural program, the exhibition will run through April, offering both residents and visitors a space where art and seasonal celebration intersect.
