In 2025, Alataw Pass in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region reached a record milestone, handling 6,408 China–Europe freight trains, ranking it first nationwide. Throughout 2025, the pass actively implemented the "smart rail port + local rapid customs clearance" reform model, streamlining clearance procedures and significantly improving operational efficiency. Alataw Pass now operates 128 China–Europe freight train routes, connecting 21 countries and transporting more than 200 categories of goods, further cementing its role as a key hub in the Belt and Road Initiative.
