Two people were wounded in a shooting involving U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, according to authorities. Both were hospitalized, however their conditions remain unknown.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) acknowledged the incident claiming Border Patrol officers were acting in self-defense after a driver weaponized his vehicle and attempted to run them over during a targeted vehicle stop.
When asked if there was any evidence to suggest the vehicle was weaponized, Portland police said they did not have any information.
