Amid growing uncertainty and rising unilateralism, global challenges are becoming more complex and interconnected. In this context, advancing a more just and equitable international order and building broad consensus for cooperation have become increasingly urgent. Young people from Generation Z in different countries, drawing on their own experiences of growth and their national development realities, are sharing their views on key issues facing the international community.

In this episode, young Syrians share their views on the principle of sovereign equality in international relations. Zain Al-Abidin believes that equality should be a fundamental principle guiding relations among states. He argues that major powers should not dominate smaller countries and that all nations should have an equal voice in international institutions such as the United Nations. According to him, genuine equality among countries is essential to promoting peace and preventing war.
