Comprising four volumes, it systematically reviews over 1,300 Chinese feature films themed around children and adolescents produced from 1922, when China's first children's feature film, "A Naughty Kid," was released, up until 2022, covering a full hundred years.

This collection includes a wealth of precious film materials and images, along with displays of significant commemorative documentary sources related to children's films. Some of these materials are being presented to readers for the first time, filling a crucial gap in the industry and providing invaluable visual and textual resources for practitioners, researchers and educators in the field of children's and adolescent films.

The editorial team brought together top-tier professionals from the industry, ensuring the authority and historical value of the content, including Yu Lan, a renowned film actress best known for her portrayal of revolutionary martyr Jiang Jie in the film "Eternal Life in the Flames (Red Crag)." She also served as the first president of the China Children's Film Studio.

Meanwhile, the book provides detailed introductions to 352 outstanding film professionals who have contributed to Chinese children's films over the past century, including directors, screenwriters, cinematographers and numerous child stars.

For parents, it offers a high-quality film-watching guide, enabling them to revisit classics with their children and understand the evolution of Chinese film and children's culture.

For film lovers, it provides an opportunity to review an irreplaceable century of film history, boasting immense documentary and artistic value.
