Iran has begun partially easing communication restrictions after weeks of anti-government protests, with a full internet ban lift under consideration. Meanwhile, relations between Tehran and Washington remain strained.
Iran's president warned on Sunday that any U.S. strike on the country would trigger a "harsh response" from Tehran. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, writing on X, warned that the response "to any unjust aggression will be harsh and regrettable," adding that any attack on the country's supreme leader would be "tantamount to an all-out war against the nation." Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi added that Iran is ready to cooperate in resolving challenges and promoting regional dialogue. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said "nobody convinced me, I convinced myself," when asked by reporters if Arab and Israeli officials had persuaded him to hold back from military strikes in Iran.
