U.S. Central Command said Saturday that its forces conducted "large-scale" strikes against multiple Islamic State (IS) targets across Syria. The operation, named Operation Hawkeye Strike, was launched in response to a December attack in Palmyra that killed two U.S. soldiers and a civilian interpreter, according to U.S. Central Command.
