Giant pandas Chen Xing and Xiao Yue from China officially made their public debut in Malaysia on Saturday after completing quarantine and acclimatization.

At the Giant Panda Conservation Center at Zoo Negara, Malaysia's national zoo in Selangor, large crowds gathered as visitors lined up for a chance to catch their first glimpse of the pair.

The pandas that arrived in Malaysia last November are scheduled to stay in the Southeast Asian country for 10 years.

China and Malaysia launched their first round of international cooperation on giant panda conservation in 2014. The first pair, Xing Xing and Liang Liang, completed an 11-year stay in Malaysia before returning to China in May last year.
