Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will make an official visit to China from January 14 to 17, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The visit marks the first trip to China by a Canadian prime minister since 2017.
CGTN Stringer interviewed people in Toronto, asking about their expectations for the future of China-Canada cooperation and the new opportunities they believe this visit will bring. A liaison manager, Raman, said that China is at the forefront of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies and that it is crucial for Canada to learn from China's expertise and benefit from it.
